This Privacy Policy explains how Time to Go (timetogo.fyi) handles personal data when you use the website.

Time to Go is designed around data minimization. There are no user accounts and no behavioural analytics module. The site is hosted on Netlify and uses Google AdSense to fund the service.

1. Data controller

2. Scope

This Policy applies to the public Time to Go website and its tools, including:

• the general time-between-dates visualizer;
• shareable date visualizations;
• the Life Calendar;
• editorial event and future-date pages;
• localized versions of those resources.

External sites linked from Time to Go, including source sites and advertising/privacy providers, have their own privacy practices.

3. The general date visualizer and shareable URLs

The general Time to Go tool lets you choose a start date, an end date and a display scale. The visualization is generated in the browser.

The tool is deliberately shareable. When you create or share a URL containing dates in its query string, those dates become part of the URL.

That URL may be stored or exposed through:

• browser history or bookmarks;
• screenshots or exported material;
• messages or services through which you share the link;
• hosting/CDN request infrastructure;
• third-party services loaded on the requested page, subject to the consent choices and technical configuration described below.

A date can be personal data if it relates to an identified or identifiable person. Do not place sensitive or confidential information in a URL you intend to share.

Time to Go does not create an account or user profile from the dates entered into the general visualizer.

4. Life Calendar: birth date processed locally

The Life Calendar intentionally follows stricter privacy rules than the shareable general tool.

Your date of birth and selected age horizon are processed locally in your browser to create the Life Calendar.

The Time to Go application is designed not to deliberately:

• add the birth date to the URL;
• store it in a Time to Go account or database;
• send it to analytics;
• use it as an advertising-targeting parameter;
• pass it to Google AdSense as custom targeting or a user identifier.

The browser, operating system, extensions, autofill features or tools installed on your device may retain information according to settings outside Time to Go's control.

If you choose to export or share an image containing personal information, you decide where that file goes.

5. Hosting and technical request data

Time to Go is hosted on Netlify.

Like other hosting and content-delivery providers, Netlify processes technical information needed to deliver, protect and operate websites. Depending on the service and request, this may include data such as:

• IP address;
• requested URL or resource;
• date and time;
• browser, device and operating-system information;
• HTTP headers;
• security, abuse-prevention and diagnostic information.

Time to Go does not operate a behavioural analytics module. Hosting/CDN request processing is separate from behavioural analytics selected by the site operator.

6. Google AdSense and advertising data

Time to Go uses Google AdSense to display advertising.

As a result of ad serving, Google and other authorized advertising technology providers may process information such as:

• IP address;
• the URL of the page visited;
• browser and device information;
• cookies or similar identifiers;
• local-storage identifiers where applicable;
• advertising interactions;
• security, fraud-prevention, measurement and delivery signals.

Google explains that when sites use Google services such as AdSense, the visitor's browser automatically sends certain information to Google, including the page URL and IP address, and Google may set or read cookies or similar technologies.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to Time to Go and/or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Where required, advertising storage, personalization and related processing are controlled through the consent platform described below.

Users can also manage Google ad personalization through Google's Ads Settings.

7. Consent Management Platform (CMP)

Time to Go uses Google Privacy & messaging, a consent-management platform, to collect and communicate privacy choices for advertising and related technologies.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the production configuration must use a Google-certified CMP integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) where required by Google.

The consent interface provides controls such as:

• Accept all;
• Reject all;
• Manage options.

Where consent is legally required, non-essential advertising storage/access must not be activated before the applicable consent signal.

You can reopen or change your choices using the persistent Privacy / Cookie settings control available on the site.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

Time to Go and its service providers may use browser storage or similar technologies for:

Strictly necessary purposes

These can include:

• remembering privacy/consent choices;
• security and fraud prevention;
• technical delivery of the site.

Where applicable law exempts strictly necessary storage from consent, it may be used without optional-advertising consent.

Advertising purposes

Google AdSense and authorized advertising providers may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers for:

• ad delivery;
• frequency capping;
• fraud prevention;
• measurement;
• personalization where permitted and consented.

9. No behavioural analytics module

Time to Go does not currently use Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible or another site-owner-selected behavioural analytics module.

We do not deliberately record the dates selected in the time visualizer or Life Calendar as analytics events.

Advertising services may perform advertising measurement as described above and according to your consent/privacy choices.

10. Contact data

If you contact us by email or another published channel, we process the information you choose to provide in order to read, manage and respond to the request.

Please do not send unnecessary sensitive personal data.

11. Purposes and legal bases

Where the GDPR, UK GDPR or similar laws apply, processing may rely on the following legal bases:

• providing, maintaining and securing the website — legitimate interests in operating a reliable and secure service;
• preventing abuse, fraud or security incidents — legitimate interests in protecting the service and users;
• responding to enquiries — legitimate interests in communication and, where relevant, steps requested before entering an agreement;
• advertising cookies, personalized advertising and related non-essential storage/access — consent where required by applicable law;
• legal obligations — processing necessary to comply with applicable law.

Where consent is the legal basis, you may withdraw it at any time through the privacy/cookie settings.

12. Recipients and service providers

Personal data may be processed by parties necessary to operate and fund the website, including:

• Netlify, Inc. — hosting and content-delivery infrastructure;
• Google — Google AdSense and related advertising/privacy services;
• the production CMP provider, Google Privacy & messaging;
• advertising technology providers made available through the configured AdSense/CMP ecosystem, according to the live vendor list and your choices.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Time to Go does not sell a database of user-entered calendar dates.

13. International transfers

Some service providers are established outside your country, including in the United States.

Netlify states that it participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and may use other recognized safeguards where appropriate.

Google publishes information about international transfers and safeguards in its own privacy documentation.

The mechanism applicable to a particular transfer depends on the provider, service, location and circumstances.

14. Retention

Time to Go does not maintain user accounts or a server-side database of personal calendars.

Retention of infrastructure, consent and advertising data depends on the relevant provider, configured service, legal requirements and user choices.

Consent preferences may be stored for the period configured in the CMP and can be changed through the privacy/cookie settings.

If you contact us, correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations.

15. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights such as:

• access;
• correction;
• deletion;
• restriction;
• objection to certain processing;
• data portability where legally applicable;
• withdrawal of consent;
• rights relating to certain automated decisions;
• the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

Where the GDPR applies, requests are generally handled without undue delay and normally within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions.

16. U.S. state and other privacy rights

Certain U.S. state privacy laws and laws in other jurisdictions may provide additional rights relating to access, deletion, correction, targeted advertising, sale or sharing of personal data.

Where legally applicable, relevant advertising/privacy choices should be made available through the site's CMP/privacy controls.

The exact rights and terminology vary by jurisdiction.

17. Children

Time to Go is a general-audience visualization service and is not designed as a service directed to children.

The Life Calendar processes a birth date locally. Time to Go does not deliberately use that birth date for advertising targeting.

Users should not enter another person's personal information without an appropriate reason and legal basis.

18. Security

Time to Go uses a static-first architecture and data-minimization approach intended to reduce application-level data collection.

Security also depends on infrastructure providers, advertising/privacy providers and the user's device/browser.

No Internet service can guarantee absolute security.

19. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when the website, advertising configuration, CMP, providers, laws or data practices change.

The date at the top should change only when the published Policy is materially updated, not automatically on every build.
